Location: Hybrid (Sydney)

Hours: 32 hours across a 4-day week (no salary sacrifice)

Job snapshot:

As an Associate Software Engineer at Wonde, you’ll collaborate closely with Senior Engineers and the broader Engineering team to help drive key business objectives. You'll gain hands-on experience with a wide range of tools and technologies while receiving strong support and mentorship to advance your career in software engineering.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Offer expert-level guidance and troubleshooting assistance to customers using our API, ensuring smooth integration and resolving any technical challenges in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with senior engineers throughout the development lifecycle, from planning to deployment, ensuring new features are delivered on time and aligned with business goals.
  • Play an active role in the upkeep, optimisation, and refactoring of the company’s infrastructure and codebase, ensuring it remains scalable, efficient, and reliable for an exceptional customer experience.
  • Participate in testing of new features, ensuring high-quality standards are met before deployment, and provide feedback to enhance the overall functionality.
  • Take part in the design, development, and refinement of both new and existing software, applying best practices to ensure maintainability, performance, and scalability.
  • Contribute to shared codebases, ensuring consistent adherence to coding standards and practices across the team, fostering a collaborative and cohesive engineering environment.
