Senior Product Manager
Uptick
About Uptick
Uptick has become the global leader in field servicing for the building compliance niche. Having conquered the Australian market, we're now scaling rapidly in the UK and US, with our sights set on the world.
Building compliance is an increasingly important part of maintaining the world’s largest asset class – property – and Uptick’s vision is to make the compliance of every building visible in real time. We're disrupting a clunky, slow-moving industry while having an outsize positive impact on the world.
Uptick’s core product, Uptick Workforce, helps companies manage their mobile workforce to perform legislatively required — and often complex — routine asset maintenance. Our platform allows customers to uniquely identify every building and every piece of equipment within it, enabling powerful tie-ins to facility management, insurance underwriting, and local government or emergency services.
Now in our seventh year and following four rounds of investment, we’re backed by leading growth investor Accel-KKR. In 2025, we’re investing heavily in platform automation, project management, and a full mobile redesign — all in service of our mission to make 100 million people safer where they live, work, and play.
Uptick is used daily by thousands of users across 700+ customers, with a 99% retention rate. Over 1 million buildings and more than 10 million assets are maintained using our software every year. Our goal is to double in size in FY24/25, largely through international expansion into the UK and US.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead one of our highest-priority growth areas. You’ll launch impactful, new features that drive usage, boost revenue, and help Uptick go from best in industry to best in class.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll move fast, go deep on customer needs, and work closely with design and engineering — whether it’s AI-powered scheduling or smart dashboards that bring instant visibility to operational health. You won’t just build these, you’ll make sure they’re adopted, loved, and delivering real value.
To succeed in this role, a candidate must be able to:
- Dig into the ‘why’ and deliver it. You’ll work closely with a lean, talented engineering crew to challenge assumptions, find the real problem, and ship fast. Then iterate until customers are delighted.
- Execute on the vision. We’re in scale-up mode. We need someone relentless about delivering value — a hands-on driver who loves building great products.
- Tame the chaos. You’ll manage the backlog, make tough trade-offs, and keep momentum high, even when everything feels like a priority.
- Communicate the story. Whether it’s the multi-year vision or next week’s release, you’ll align teams and stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
What success looks like
- You’ve become a go-to expert on our customers and industry, using that insight to drive smart, high-impact product decisions.
- You’ve collaborated across teams to ensure what we ship solves real problems and lands well.
- You’ve worked closely with engineering and design to build shared understanding and ship valuable features, fast.
- You’ve delivered standout releases that drive adoption, deepen usage, and grow revenue.
- You’ve kept your product stream focused and moving — balancing bold ideas with day-to-day momentum.
What you’ll need to bring
- Experience: 5+ years in SaaS product management, ideally in a scale-up
- Product craft: Strong grasp of product management, lean delivery, and agile
- Execution: A strong track record of delivering complex, new features
- Bonus points for: Experience designing complex B2B systems or workflows
Who you’ll need to be
- Customer-obsessed. You care deeply about spending time with our customers to understand the 'why' and delivering real value to users.
- Outcome-driven. You focus on impact — success means behaviour change, adoption, and results, not just shipping features.
- Collaborative and resourceful. You bring structure, creativity, and initiative. You work well with others and help the team move faster together.
- Energised by ownership and pace. You thrive in fast-moving environments, take the lead, and are confident making calls when needed.
- Confident communicator. You communicate clearly, make confident calls under pressure, and keep the team moving forward.
Our Culture
Our culture begins with our values:
- Care: We care enough to have the hard conversations and work to create an environment where our employees feel safe to challenge and be challenged.
- Growth: We’re all here to grow the business, and we do that by growing our people and customers.
- Impact: We’re changing an industry and we will have an outsized impact by making every day count.
