We’re searching for a B2B SDR to be a foundational member of our US sales team.

Uptick is the #1 asset maintenance software for fire & security businesses in Australia, is growing rapidly in the UK market and is about to take the North American market by storm. You’ll spend your time proactively connecting with and prospecting businesses in the Fire & Security industry.

This role is an opportunity for you to be hands-on in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment. If you're successful, there will be opportunities for career development within a rapidly growing business.

What you’ll need to do:

  • Develop a pipeline through outbound activity (cold calling, emails and social media) ensuring daily targets are met.
  • Seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.
  • Present Uptick and the value it can create to potential customers.
  • Book discovery meetings with prospects for Sales Managers.
  • Maintain accurate sales data, pipeline forecasting and deal statuses using a variety of tools (e.g. Hubspot) and report on your activity and results.
  • Provide insights and feedback into value proposition and commercial positioning of the product following outbound activity.
  • Desire to understand the product and services Uptick provides intimately and stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans.
  • Be passionate about our products and offer insights to our Product team on improvements and usability.

What you’ll need to bring:

  • Ability to present in a concise, engaging and articulate manner
  • A belief in complete transparency as a way to share information and learn from others

Experience required:

  • Fire & security industry experience a plus but not a prerequisite
  • Experience in chasing new leads, getting on the phone cold calling 100-200 calls a day to book new meetings.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Technically savvy and used to working with online systems and tools such as GSuite, Slack and Hubspot.
  • Motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment.
