Swoop Aero was founded to make access to the skies seamless. We were the first company globally to deliver a vaccine using a drone under a commercial contract. Since then, we've expanded globally, transforming service delivery with drone logistics operations in fifteen countries.

We’ve got big plans to shift the paradigm of essential supplies ajd service delivery in both developing and developed markets alike, both by deploying fully managed drone logistics into the supply chain, and providing partners with our technology platform for drone operations as scalet. To deliver on our vision, we’ve brought together a team of eternally optimistic and resourceful ‘doers’ to tackle these seemingly insurmountable problems and make all this become a reality.

About you:

You’re a commercial hustler who sees opportunities where others don’t. You thrive in a close team and are ready to drive right in. Closing the deal comes easily and you are now ready for a new and exciting opportunity.

You may come from the commercial team of a high growth start-up or have delivered results in a client facing role of a Tier 1 management consultancy. Most importantly, you will be able to demonstrate results that will transform Swoop Aero and the world.

To help us achieve our vision, we are looking to bring new business development managers onto our crew. We are seeking high-energy candidates with leadership aspirations to help drive our growth and capitalise on commercial opportunities. This will be an opportunity like no other! You will be at the forefront of an emerging global sector, visualising and driving commercial partnerships with organisations worldwide.

In this position your responsibilities will include:

Strategy:

Working closely with the CEO you will undertake strategic planning to generate growth. You will have proven experience in market segmentation, with the ability to identify key focus industries, perform outreach campaign planning and market sizing. In addition, you will oversee development of new collateral with support from cross functional team members.

Business development:

You will utilise your commercial acumen and capitalise on your well-developed networks to generate new opportunities and nurture opportunities. You will be responsible for guiding clients through the entire Swoop Aero sales process based on the overall commercial strategy. This will include running preliminary client meetings, rapidly qualifying leads, conducting client follow-ups and overseeing their successful changeling through our sales journey.

Advancing existing leads:

You will have a knack for quickly developing a deep understanding of customers' needs which will enable you to build a pertinent business case, develop details of future operations including budget and network design and create customised collateral. You will work closely with these leads to ensure successful contract negotiations and deal closure, prior to hand-off to customer success and ops teams.

Commercial Relationship building:

You will confidently build relationships with key operational and channel partners to align product needs and facilitate partnership development. This includes developing the GTM/beachhead strategy and working through partner requirements leaning on expertise across relevant Swoop Aero teams. You will work in conjunction with other areas of the business to ensure all customer requirements are fulfilled prior to kick-off and hand over to the Swoop Aero operations team.
