About the Role

We're looking for an AI Engineer to build, ship, optimise and own AI-powered products and systems. You'll be pivotal in establishing and accelerating our AI capabilities including implementing AI / agentic software development practices and tools while shipping features that solve real problems for renters and real estate professionals.

You think like a product person, build like an engineer, ship like a startup founder and have a very high internal accountability and motivation to own operational systems. You're curious about what's possible but focused on what's valuable.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5+ years shipping scaled software: With some AI/ML experience in production.
• Agentic Workflows: Experience designing and deploying autonomous AI agents and agentic workflows into production.
• Strong engineering fundamentals: Comfortable with a Golang/React/AWS stack or eager to learn.
• Applied AI/LLM Experience: Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar APIs building customer-facing features into production environments.
• Systems Thinker: Able to break down complex, ambiguous problems into solvable pieces by leveraging the right technologies. You're able to think narrow and broad.
• API integration experience: Extensive integration experience with RESTful services, data processing, and system integrations.
• Product thinking: Understand user needs and business problems before jumping to technical solutions.
• Startup/scale-up experience: Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and changing priorities.
• Builder mentality: A high degree of agency, prioritising getting things done and making progress, even with imperfect information. This means shipping early versions, testing ideas, and refining based on real feedback.
• Curiosity and experimentation: Proven curiosity and excitement around AI tools and techniques.
• Relentlessly removes repetition: Automating, finding scalable solutions, and reducing the drudge work across your working and personal life.

Highly Desirable

• AWS experience: ECS, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, AWS Bedrock, and other AWS services.
• Data processing: Experience with ETL, data pipelines, or large dataset handling.
• PropTech or real estate: Understanding of property workflows and data.
• Rapid prototyping: Comfortable building quick proof-of-concepts to test ideas.
