The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help solve challenging problems in a developer-first work environment. You will take ownership of business requirements and deliver them across the full stack. We use TypeScript with MERN + AWS.

What You'll Do

• Write easily maintainable code (React, Node.js, TypeScript) that transforms complex business requirements into elegant, performant solutions.
• Own features end-to-end with development in both the backend and frontend (70/30 split).
• Work closely with the product team to help shape new features.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  
  

Technical Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor-level qualification in software engineering or related field.
• 8+ years experience as a Software Engineer in a professional setting.
• Advanced understanding of TypeScript, Node.js, React, and related technologies.
• Proven track record in software design and system architecture.
• Experience with functional programming languages is a plus.
• Experience with AWS and MongoDB is a plus.

• Currently a senior-level engineer in a product-focused company.
• Excel in software design and are able to make thoughtful contributions to architectural decisions.
• Comfortable with advanced Node.js concepts such as worker threads, streams, and WebSockets.
• Comfortable with advanced React concepts such as hooks, context API, and performance optimisation.
• Proven track record of high performance and delivery of high-quality software.
• Excited by the fast-moving pace of a startup.
• Have a strong interest in the cryptocurrency industry or a willingness to learn.

170,000 - 200,000 AUD per year(Remote - Australia)
